Description

Château Labégorce - Margaux

Château Labégorce is a renowned winery located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, France. The estate has a long and rich history dating back to the 14th century, and has been producing exceptional wines for centuries.

The Château Labégorce - Margaux is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months, which gives it a complex and rich flavour profile.

The wine has a deep ruby colour and a complex aroma of blackcurrant, blackberry, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a rich and velvety texture. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, and the finish is long and smooth.

This wine is perfect for special occasions and pairs well with red meat, game, and strong cheeses. It can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years.

Tasting notes

Space limitations did not allow complete tasting notes for this Cru Bourgeois, but 2005 is the finest vintage for these wines since 1982. The range of scores for these wines should give readers an idea of just how consistent this vintage is at this level. Given the style of the vintage, most of these wines should be accessible young yet evolve for a decade or more because of their concentration and tannic structure.
