Description

Château Carbonnieux - Pessac Léognan - Blanc

Château Carbonnieux is a renowned producer of white wines in the Pessac Léognan region of Bordeaux. This particular wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes, resulting in a crisp and refreshing taste profile.

The history of Château Carbonnieux dates back to the 13th century, when it was owned by the Benedictine monks. Today, the estate is owned by the Perrin family, who have been producing exceptional wines for over 200 years.

This wine is best enjoyed chilled and pairs well with seafood dishes, such as oysters or grilled fish. Its bright acidity and citrus notes make it a perfect accompaniment to a summer picnic or a sunny day on the patio.

Tasting notes

91 Points - The wine Advocate

The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc has turned out very nicely, offering up aromas of citrus oil, pear, fresh herbs, clear honey and crisp stone fruit, followed by a medium-bodied, elegantly satiny and incisive palate that's bright and precise, concluding with a saline finish. Bottled under Diam, this is already showing well in a tangy, Sauvignon-driven style.
