Description

Château du Beau Vallon is a renowned wine producer located in the Saint-Émilion appellation of Bordeaux, France. The history of this estate dates back to the 18th century when it was owned by the Marquis de Mons. The current owners, the Lurton family, acquired the property in 2001 and have since then been producing some of the finest wines in the region.

The vineyards of Château du Beau Vallon are spread over 22 hectares and are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The soil is predominantly clay-limestone, which is ideal for producing wines with great structure and complexity. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before being fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.

The wines produced by Château du Beau Vallon are known for their elegance, finesse, and balance. The flagship wine of the estate is the Château du Beau Vallon Grand Cru Classé, which is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months, which gives it a complex aroma of black fruits, spices, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied with silky tannins and a long finish.

In addition to the Grand Cru Classé, Château du Beau Vallon also produces a second wine called Les Coteaux du Beau Vallon. This wine is made from younger vines and is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. It is a more approachable wine with a fruity aroma and a soft, round palate.

Overall, Château du Beau Vallon is a producer that is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that reflect the terroir of the Saint-Émilion appellation. Their wines are a testament to the rich history and tradition of winemaking in Bordeaux, and are sure to impress even the most discerning wine connoisseur.
