Description

E. Guigal - Gigondas

E. Guigal - Gigondas is a rich and full-bodied red wine that is perfect for those who enjoy a bold and complex taste profile. This wine is made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes, which are grown in the Rhône Valley in France. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months, which gives it a smooth and velvety texture.

The history of E. Guigal dates back to 1946 when Etienne Guigal founded the winery in Ampuis, a small village in the northern Rhône Valley. Today, the winery is run by Etienne's son, Marcel Guigal, and his grandson, Philippe Guigal. The family is known for their dedication to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Rhône Valley.

E. Guigal - Gigondas is best enjoyed with hearty meat dishes, such as beef stew or roasted lamb. The wine pairs well with strong cheeses, such as Roquefort or Gorgonzola. It is also a great wine to enjoy on its own, as it has a long and lingering finish that will leave you wanting more.
