Talisker is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery located on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. Founded in 1830, it is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and is renowned for its smoky, peaty flavour. Talisker is made using malted barley, which is dried over a peat fire, giving it its distinctive smoky flavour. The whisky is then aged in oak casks for a minimum of 10 years, allowing the flavours to develop and mature.

Tasting notes
Talisker Skye brings with it a well-rounded and sweet flavour profile packed with fresh citrus, sweet smoke, peppery spice and traditional Talisker maritime notes. It's matured in a combination of refill and toasted American oak casks, with a slightly higher proportion of toasted casks.
Bright 18 carat gold in colour with polished copper lights. Medium-bodied and softly textured. The first glorious scents of citrus sweetness of fresh oranges develops into soft mango. Maritime air with seaweed, driftwood, and salt continue under. Soft and sweet at first on the palate, coating and tongue tingling, with light smoke. Quickly becomes more pungent and savoury with a hot spiciness.
Drier and of medium-length finish, with a lasting, smooth aftertaste, in which light peaty burnt embers can be found.

Cocktail Recipe

Skye's Stormy Seas

Ingredients:
- 60 ml Talisker Skye
- 30 ml fresh lime juice
- 15 ml honey syrup
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- Ginger beer
- Ice

Instructions:
1. Fill a shaker with ice.
2. Add Talisker Skye, fresh lime juice, honey syrup, and Angostura bitters.
3. Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
4. Top with ginger beer.
5. Garnish with a lime wedge.
