It was first created by the monk Dom Bernardo Vincelli in the 16th century, and has been produced by the Benedictine monks at the Abbey of Fécamp in Normandy, France since the 19th century. The recipe for Benedictine D.O.M is a closely guarded secret, with only a few people at the Abbey of Fécamp knowing the full recipe. The herbs and spices used in the liqueur are sourced from all over the world, and are carefully selected and blended to create the unique flavour of Benedictine D.O.M.

Benedictine D.O.M is a rich and complex liqueur, with notes of honey, saffron, and cinnamon. It is often enjoyed as a digestif, and is also used in cocktails such as the Vieux Carré and the Bobby Burns. In addition to Benedictine D.O.M, the Abbey of Fécamp also produces a range of other liqueurs, including B&B and D.O.M. Bénédictine Single Cask.

Cocktail Recipe

The Divine D.O.M

Ingredients:
- 60 ml Benedictine D.O.M
- 30 ml fresh lemon juice
- 15 ml honey syrup
- 1 dash of orange bitters

Instructions:
1. Fill a shaker with ice.
2. Add Benedictine D.O.M, fresh lemon juice, honey syrup, and orange bitters.
3. Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4. Garnish with a lemon twist.
